The ASCA Recognition for School Counselor Preparation Programs is granted to college/university school counselor preparation programs that demonstrate evidence of meeting the ASCA School Counselor Preparation Program Standards. These standards are a unified set of principles guiding programs in training effective future school counselors in professional practices and ethical behavior. Program reports are accepted in the spring and fall of each year (March 15 and September 15).
